This weekend Brighton hosted the UK's first Integral Transformative Practice seminar with a qualified trainer. Pam Kramer, ITP President lead the workshop, with participants coming from Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, London and Sussex. We covered a wide variety of enjoyable exercises including the ITP kata (form), energy work, grabs - literal and metaphorical, affirmations and "staying present" empathy work.
What to me is powerful about ITP is its commitment to long-term practice, emphasis on community and its breadth. If you've studied the likes of aikido, Non-Violent Communication and psychology, much of the content wont be knew, but integrating them might be.

An intimate atmosphere developed as the work deepened over the day and I really enjoyed the diversity of the group, which consisted of counselling students, therapists, prison workers, aikido instructors and a twelve year old girl who amazed us all with her maturity and insights. Good job Amy, you're an inspiration!

Pleasure, you're welcome.
I enjoyed it too! Thanks! Should I say 'good job'? :D
Liked the exercise descriptions on your blog Zolly. Here they are for everyone else:

Thanks.
I really needed this bodymind (especially mind) training.
I'm already planning an integration-style training for the next time I can instruct the adult class. :)
